On Wednesday, May 22, 2013, The Asan Institute for Policy Studies held the 6th Asan China Inji Lecture (峨山中國仁智講座) with 蘇起 (Su Chi), Chairman of the Taipei Forum and Professor at the Graduate Institute of China Studies, Tamkang University.

 

In a presentation titled, “Present and Future of Cross-strait Relations,” Professor Su discussed the gradual change in cross-strait relations since the 1980s, covering military, diplomatic, political, economic, and even cultural aspects. Based on such changes, he depicted the current status of the relationship and provided a prospective view about it. Also, Professor Su comprehensively looked into how the relationship between China and Taiwan is distinctive compared to that between the two Koreas.
