On May 23, 2017, the Asan Institute for Policy Studies held a closed door roundtable with a delegation from the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission. The participants discussed the North Korean nuclear weapons program and its implications for South Korea. The conversation also touched onSouth Korea-China relations, the THAAD missile defense system, and the potential for trilateral security cooperation between South Korea, the US, and Japan.
