On June 27, 2019, students from the Indonesia Defense University visited the Asan Institute. Dr. Lee Jaehyon, a senior fellow of the Center for ASEAN and Oceania Studies, delivered a lecture on “Peace in the Korean Peninsula, Why ASEAN Matters?”. Dr. Lee examined North Korea-US summits and described Moon Jae-in Government’s ‘New Southern Policy’ initiative. Adding to that, Dr. Lee analyzed the merits and prospective roles of ASEAN. The lecture was followed by an interactive Q&A session.
