On March 27, 2023, the Asan Institute for Policy Studies hosted a closed roundtable with the delegation of the US-Japan Partnership Program of the Research Institute for Peace and Security (RIPS) in Japan, led by Tsuchiyama Jitsuo, the Director of the US-Japan Partnership Program of the RIPS. The delegation and Asan fellows discussed various issues such as ROK-US relations, ROK-China relations, the North Korean nuclear issue, the Taiwan issue and South Korea’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, and shared the perspectives on regional security cooperation and ROK-Japan relations.
